I have a dinner party coming up at the end of January and it got me thinking about tablescapes. It’s easy to pull something together in the spring, summer, fall, and even around the winter holidays but what about the gray winter months of January through March when there isn’t much in the way of natural vegetation to draw inspiration from?

They are a design trend that will be here a while due to their ease of care and vibrant green color. Jen at the Effortless Chick blog offers a tutorial on how to DIY your own with links to sources.
Black and White
I have been really excited about dark, moody walls lately and the same goes for a great tablescape. I think Winter greenery with buffalo check or hounds tooth with clean white plates and gold or silver chargers is a very simple way to get a dramatic table.

Winter White Flowers
Fresh Arrangement of Fruit
